Having worked in construction since he was a young teenager, Chris Stoltzfus has proven himself to be a successful business owner, servicing numerous happy customers with residential and commercial custom pressed metal roofing and siding.
Growing up on a small farm Chris learned the value of hard work before eventually joining the construction side of the family’s livelihood, cabinet salvage and construction. By the time he was 18, he was building pole barns and doing the needed exterior metal trimming, siding, and roofing for most projects, rising to foreman by age 19 and remaining in this position for several years.
Eventually making a shift to work for a building supplier and lumber yard, still framing houses on the side, Chris learned he could do just about anything in the construction of a house. At the lumber yard he gained further skills, including proper materials calculations and drawing up blueprints.
Though he lived in Kentucky, it was an easy move to Pennsylvania when Chris married his beautiful wife, Amanda, and both grew up with Amish values and traditions. When their new life began Chris first worked for his brother-in-law, but eventually branched out to standing seam metal and subcontracted with another company as he learned more about pressing metal. This would become his specialty.
Now the High Star Construction team strongly feels that “the only way to do standing seam roofs and siding is to have a metal roll former right on the jobsite. We can roll out the metal on the job and create perfectly sized panels and install everything while onsite. The trim is custom bent, perfectly measured and fits without issue because it is specific to your house or building and not pre-ordered. Beautiful board and batten siding too!”
